To save you time, the general steps are as follows:

• 1. Get a place of residency, either rent a place or buy a home
• 2. Go to the nearest DMV and get a driver's license, you will also fill out your WA voter registration there
• 3. At your workplace change your home address on your hr software to be your new place
• 4. That's it! Your W2 will now be updated to your new state and you'll be paying washington taxes
